SUMMARY

- South Texas Project Unit I began the reporting period shutdown for refueling and scheduled - >

maintenance. ,

The unit was returned to service on October 4, at 1433. On October 6, at 1115 a relief valve on the #11 Moisture Separator Reheater opened with the unit at 75% reactor power. The unit was removed from service at 132! to investigate the cause and make the necessary repairs. Following repairs, the unit was ,

returned to service on October 8, at 0530 and full power achieved on October 11; at 1425.  ;

The unit operated for the remainder of the period at full pcwer with no unit shutdowns or significant power reductions.

De root cause of the seal degradation has not yet been
