DRESDEN UNIT - 3 (1IERS - #3)

D00TT #050 - 249 During unit normal operation, while perfonning leak checks, '

the equi; ment cperator found small steam leaking fran the test tap valve (3-1299-13, 3/4") .. The systm was i===iiately isolat-ed to stop the leakage. The safety significance was minimal since all the leakage was contained in the reactor building floor drain systs.

Tha cause of the valve leaking is unknown at this time.

The pipe threads chased and a new cap installed. The test connection will be modified by adding second isolation and the existing valve will be replaced during next refueling outage. The leaking valve will be ex=inad in order to de-termine the mode of failure.
