Dear Mr. Clark:
Main Steam Line Radiation Monitor NUREG-0737, Item II.F.1.1 Status Update Omaha Public Power District's letter dated June 30, 1982 provided the District's schedule for implementing the subject TMI item.
Our June 30, 1982 letter indicated that we expected the main steam line radiation monitor to be installed and operational by October 30, 1982.
The monitor is presently installed and has been operationally tested.
However, the monitor still requires calibration.
Calibration was not completed due to an unscheduled outage that occurred on October 22, 1982 and significantly increased the instrument and control personnel's workload. Additionally, the calibration procedures were not received from the vendor until October 26, 1982.
Accordingly, the District now expects to complete calibration of the subject monitor by November 12, 1982. This schedule allows us to properly implement the calibration procedures and accounts for any potential problems that could occur during calibration.
