Followup to Special Report on Inoperable Fire Barriers InReference2OmahaPublicPowerDistrict(0 PPD)submittedaSpecialReport regarding 46 inoperable fire dampers. This letter committed to providing a '
followup S)ecial Report within 30 days of completion of corrective actions.
Eight of tie ino>erable fire dampers were replaced under modification MR-FC-87-036, "Jire Damper Replacement". This modification was completed and accepted for operability on May 25, 1990. The remaining 38 dampers were found to bs acceptable after OPPD obtained and reviewed copies of qualification reports for the damper design. During the time the dampers were considered l inoperable, the necessary compensatory measures as required by Technical Specification 2.19 were in place.
