Withdrawal of Applications for Amendment of Operating License (TAC Numbers 92801 and 93682)
Omaha Public Power District (OPPD)in References 2 and 3 submitted two separate Applications for Amendment of Operating License. These risk-infomied amendment requests proposed to extend the allowed outage time (AOT) for an inoperable low-pressure safety injection pump and the AOT for an inoperable dies. i generator.
OPPD has not completed development of the Configuration Risk Management Program (CRMP) required for NRC approval of these applications. In order to help reduce the overall number of outstanding licensing actions under NRC review, OPPD hereby withdraws the applications submitted by References 2 and 3. OPPD intends to implement the CRMP in mid-1999 and may !
subsequently re-submit the applications for extensions of the above-noted AOTs, or submit other I risk-informed AOT extensions as appropriate.
