5) Letter G02-92-088, dated April 10, 1992, GC Sorensen (SS) to NRC, "Request for Amendment to Technical Specification 3/4.4.6 Pressure/

Temperature Limits" In conjunction with the NRC Project Manager for WNP-2, the Supply System has determined that several Technical Specification Amendment requests could be more concisely written to support NRC review, and approval.,The Supply System goal is to provide to the staff well documented requests. As such, the amendment, requests contained in References 1 through 5 are withdrawn from further NRC,consideration.,

Page Two WITHDRAWALOF REQUESTS FOR AMENDMENTTO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The Supply System will evaluate the withdrawn submittals for either re-submittal at a later date, or for inclusion in the "Improved Technical Specifications." In particular, References 1 and 4 will be resubmitted as a single submittal that will require NRC review and approval prior to March 17, 1995, in order to avoid a forced plant scram to complete the scram discharge volume drain and vent valve testing in accordance with the current Surveillance Requirement 4.1.3.1.4.

Withdrawal of the referenced requests is part of the Supply System effort to improve overall plant performance. By withdrawing those requests which could require higher than normal staff and Supply System resources to resolve potential questions, these resources can more effectively be devoted to the remaining pending, and future, Supply System submittals.

Should you have any questions or desire additional information regarding this matter, please call me or D.A. Swank at (509) 377-4563.
