2.8 Inadequate Support of Tendons during Pouring May identify additional perspective on this D eýmýnaý issue as RCA related efforts proceeds

Description:

If the tendons are not supported well, they may move during concrete pouring resulting in either or both, (1) localized friction between the tendon and its sleeve and (2) non-uniform stress in the concrete over the length of the tendon.

Data to be Collected and Analyzed:

Examine supports of hoop sleeves during construction.

(1) Examine supports of vertical sleeves during construction.

(2) Examine sleeve location and condition during demolition.

See Exhibit 1 as an example of a few pictures that show spacing during construction and SGR hole cutting.

Verified Refuting Evidence: Verified Supporting Evidence:

1. Photos from original construction demonstrate the support system.
2. Photos taken during demolition show that the sleeves were evenly distributed in the zone and not deformed.
