OF MEETING HELD ON JUNE 9, 2005, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) STAFF AND THE CONSTELLATION ENERGY GROUP INC. REPRESENTATIVES TO DISCUSS THE STATUS OF THEIR RECOVERY EFFORT FOR THE NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NOS. MC3272 AND MC3273)

A public meeting was held on June 9, 2005, in Rockville, Maryland for representatives of Constellation Energy Group Inc., (CEG or the applicant) to discuss the status of the applicants recovery effort for the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, (NMP1 and NMP2) license renewal application (LRA). The applicant described CEGs road map in updating their LRA to address staff requests for additional information (RAIs). In addressing the RAIs, the applicant identified 14 additional systems in the scope of license renewal. CEG plans to submit an updated NMP LRA by July 15, 2005. The applicant has requested a 90-day grace period to perform a quality recovery effort for the NMP1 and NMP2 LRA by their letter dated March 3, 2005 (ADAMS Accession No. ML050680270). The NRC staff acknowledged CEGs request by letter dated March 7, 2005 (ADAMS Accession No. ML050660147).
