Enclosed is the Monthly Operating Report (MOR) for Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, for April 2004. This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 5.6.4 and NRC Generic Letter 97-02.

Enclosure 3 contains revised pages from the March MOR with corrected year-to-date and cumulative values for reactor critical hours, generator on-line hours, and net electrical generation.

Enclosure 1 PG&E Letter DCL-04-060 APRIL 2004, OPERATION SUMMARIES DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT UNITS I AND 2 Summary of Unit I Operation Unit 1 began the month in No Mode with the core fully off-loaded (defueled), continuing the refueling outage (1R12) that began on March 22, 2004. The unit ended the month in Mode 6 (Refueling) with the core fully loaded.

Summary of Unit 2 Operation Unit 2 remained in Mode 1, at approximately 100 percent power, during April 2004.

There were no significant operational activities.

Actuations of Pressurizer Safety or Power-Operated Relief Valves There were no challenges to the pressurizer power-operated relief valves, pressurizer safety valves, or steam generator safety valves.
