TENIESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY - SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN)

AMENDED DISCHARGE MONITORING REPORT (DMR) FOR AUGUST 2002 The following describes a revision to the SQN DMR for August 2002:

During the period of August 9 through September 5, a flow measurement error occurred at Chickamauga Hydro. This, in turn, created small errors in the computed NPDES compliance parameters for water temperature. The parameters were corrected before submittal of the September DMR, but the corrections were not completed in time for submittal of the August DMR.

Please find enclosed the corrected DMR for August 2002 which reflects the change for parameter Temperature, Water Degrees Centigrade Effluent Gross Value from the reported value of 43.7 degrees Celsius Daily Maximum to 43.6 degrees Celsius Daily Maximum and for parameter Temperature Difference Between Sample and Upstream Degrees Centigrade Effluent Gross Value from the reported value of 2.1 degrees Celsius to 2.2 degrees Celsius.
