RONS Branch Date Signed SUMMARY [[ - Inspection on October 3-4, 1979 Areas Inspected This routine, announced second corporate management meeting was held to advise the licensee concerning the NRC's inspection and enforcement organization and inspection program for the Grand Gulf Nuclear Facility, Unit 1, during preoper-ational and startup testing. The role of the resident inspector was also dis-cussed. A tour of the facility was conducted subsequent to the meeting. The inspection involved 23 inspector hours by 3 NRC inspectors.
Results Of the areas inspected, no apparent items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

Management Meeting As part of the NRC's routine inspection program, a management meeting was held at the Mississippi Power and Light Company Corporate Offices on October 3, 1979, at the request of the Region II Office.

. the meeting was to discuss with the licensee the NRC organization, I & E mission, and the inspection program to be conducted prior to and following issuance of an operating license. The role of the resident inspector was also discussed.
The licensee responded with questions during the meeting and expressed their intent of continued cooperation with the NRC.

Tour of the Facility Subsequent to the meeting, a tour of the facility was conducted on October 4, 1979, to familiarize the inspectors with the facility and construction progress.
