Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on August 22, 1979 with those persons indicated in Paragraph I abeve.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (0 pen) Unresolved Item Nos. 416/417/79-13-04, Housekeeping.
The inspector noted that the licensee has corrected the trash and litter problem both inside and outside the containment. Tor the most part, trash cans are being utilized by the workers anJ a definite trend toward neater working areas u s noted by the inspector.
This item will remain open until procedures defining the boundaries of regional cleanliness zones are revised and approved. This item will be examined during subsequent inspections.

Unresolved Items Unresolved items were not identified during tnis inspection.
5.
Inspector Foilowup Items (Closed) IFI 416/417/79-13-01, Warehouse Storage. The warehouses located in Natchez, Mississippi, which are used to store both safety-related and other materials, were inspected.
It was noted tht the material and equipment are being stored and preserved -
satisfactorily. Segregation of Mississippi Power and Light Company (MP&L) storage from storage not owned by MP&L is effective.

6.
Independent Inspection The inspector examined various areas of Units 1 and 2 to observe construction work and related activities in progress, to inspect the general state of maintenance and the inplace storage conditions of mechanical and electrical equipment. The inspector examined the rigging that was being constructed to move the Unit 2 reactor vessel from storage into the Unit 1 containment.
No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.
7.
General The writer accompanied W. Lovelace and J. Houghton, Light Water Reactors Branch No. 1, Division of Project Management, Nuclear Reactor Regulation, during an announced visit on August 21, 1979 to discuss overall project status and detailed project schedule.
In addition, construction activities in progress were observed in order to evaluate the Unit 1 fuel load date.
Bechtel presented an overview of construction progress since June 1,1978. The presenta-tion included a review and current status of construction, procure-ment and engineering. The licensee provided a review of all startup functions presently underway which included writing procedures, hiring startup engineers, plant engineering, flushing systems and componentTs in service.
Follow _ng the presentations and review, a tour was made of the site to observe construction activities.
No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.
