Areas Inspected This routine unannounced inspection involved 12 inspector-hours onsite in the areas of dust abatement; erosion control and silt loading.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Noncompliance (50-400/78-08, 50-401/78-08, 50-402/78-08, 50-403/78-08):

Dust Abatement.

Design and assembly of a

7,500 gallon capacity watering truck has been completed.

Inspection disclosed that design and use of the vehicle complied with the corrective actions defined by the licensee.

(Closed) Noncompliance (50-400/78-08, 50-401/78-08, 50-402/78-08, 50-403/78-08):

Erosion and Sedimentation Control.

Inspection of erosion control and silt loading of Buckhorn Creek at the main dam construction area disclosed that corrective actions were implemented as required.

Holding ponds and siltation basins were installed by the licensee to mitigate silt loading and control construction - related erosion.

Unresolved Items Unresolved items were not identified during this inspection.

Dust Abatement A followup inspection was conducted to verify implementation of the correc-tive action submitted in response to noncompliance item 78-08-1.

The subject corrective action was defined in the licensee's letter of January 2,

1979.

Inspection disclosed that the watering truck committed to by the licensee, was in continuous use in road dust abatement and control within the power block construction area of the plant site.

The inspector informed licensee representatives that the subject item of noncompliance was closed.

The corrective action was implemented as require.

Erosion and Sediment Control Included in the inspection was assessment of'orrective actions implemented in response to noncompliance item 78-08-02.

The subject corrective action regarding control of silt loading of Buckhorn Creek at the main dam construc-tion site was defined in the licensee's letter of January 2, 1979.

Inspection disclosed that effective erosion control and mitigation of silt loading of Buckhorn Creek was implemented through use of holding ponds and sedimentation basins attending continued construction at the dam site.

The inspector informed licensee representatives that the subject item of noncompliance was closed.
