Sorensen, Manager Regulatory Programs Gentlemen: This letter refers to an unannounced, safeguards team inspection of your activities authorized by NRC License No. NPF-21 conducted by Messrs. L. R.

. ' Norderhaug, A. D. McQueen and D. W. Schaefer of this office, and Ms. J. Lim of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, on April 9 through May 5, 1987. It also refers to follow-up of past inspection items and to the discussions of the preliminary inspection findings held by M. D. Schuster and the inspection team members with J. Shannon, G. Bouchey, and other members of your organization on April 17, 198 Areas examined during this inspection included activities related to physical protection as described in the enclosed inspection report.
