SUBJECT: REPORT NOS. 50-369/85-09 AND 50-370/85-10 Thank you for your letter of July 24, 1985, concerning activities of the McGuire facility as authorized by NRC License Nos. NPF-9 and NPF-17, brought to your attention in our letters of April 23, 1985, and July 11, 1985.
Regarding the apparent violation, we have evaluated the additional information provided in your response concerning the specifying of post-modification testing requirements and test acceptance criteria.
You confirmed that a close interface between Design Engineering and the Nuclear Production Department assures that adequate post-modification testing requirements and acceptance criteria are specified in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements.
Based on our review of this matter, we have revised our records to delete this violation and identify it as an Inspector Followup Item.
The administrative controls for the interface you describe above, delineated in the Nuclear Station Modification Manual, will be reviewed in a future inspection.
