The Eddy Current Examination (ET) consisted of a 3% random sample
[
plus a 100% lane tube examinaticn in each steam generator (SG). The 3% random sample examination in each generator included a limited number of "special interest" tubes such as concentrations of " dings" at a particular elevation on cross sectional area or the abnormal ding findings. The "special interest" tubes were counted as part of
.the 3% random sample examination in accordance with guidelines set forth in the Davis-Besse 1 Technical Specification.
In addition, a special examination of approximately 48 tubes in front of the eight internal auxiliary feedwater header brackets / dowel pin locations in each SG were also selected for ET.
Visual examination (VT) of the tube to tube support plate interfaces and accessible internal auxiliary feedwater headcr bracket / dowel pin locations-were performed in the "A" and "B" SG's through the XI-axis, Upper Secondary Manway.
In SG "A", one tube was found to have a 69% thin wall by ET.
Because of the results an-additional 6% ET was performed of SG "A".
Tube lists for the ' additional 6% ET 'were developed as part of the pre-outage planning effort and were supplied to B&W along ~with the 3% tube list for use as required.

Observation of Work Activities and Data Review
,
The inspector observed ET on several A and B SG tubes.
,.
i
!
Multi-frequency ET equipment was used for examining both SG's.
Therefore, debris data was taken simultaneously on all tubes probed for defect data.
Data was also reviewed on the following systems:
