Concrete Expansion Anchors - Unit 1 In response to IE Bulletin No. 79-02 the licensee performed a testing program on the installed anchor bolts in Unit 1.
Bechtel is under contract to provide design and engineering support for this program. The licensee stated that the contractor that installed the control room environmental control system used wedge type expansion anchors for his installation whereas all the other expansion anchors in Unit I were the self-drilling type. All wedge type anchors are being inspected and torqued to one quarter
