The containment floor modification is being repaire Long Term Storage of Steam Generator Lower Assembly The inspector observed the long term storage condition of Unit #2981 steam generator lower assembly. It was observed that the lower as-sembly was being handled and stored in accordance with Westinghouse process specifications NPT-91 "Protective measures for long term storage of steam generator lower assemblies".

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified in the areas inspecte Observation of Safety-Related Work Activities Most of the time spent during this inspection involved the observation of the following safety-related work: Placement, curing, and set-up for testing of the concrete used for the containment floor modification repair Engineering Task Assignment (ETA) 3002.
Installation of the reactor coolant pipe EP3 to 'B' steam generator and EPS to 'A', 'B', and 'C' steam generators ETA 4000 No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified in the areas inspected.

-4-Calibrated Tool Control The inspector discovered a set of uncontrolled outside micrometers in the pipe refurbishment building in the area where work was being performe These micrometers were Starrett Model /1724-size12" - 18".
The adhesive calibration sticker on this set of micrometers specified a due date of 7/79 thus, the instrument was out of calibratio In addition, there were no control or identification marking on this micrometer to verify that it was part of VEPCO's calibration control syste This is identified as deficiency 281/79-67-01 "Control of Calibrated Tools".
