Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Unresolved Item (50-281/80-04-0l), Isolation Conditio The inspector reviewed Westinghouse letter dated March 21, 1980 from P. M. Furr to W. L. Profitt. McFarlan Mr. McFarland was informed of Surry steam generator repair project organization and introduced to key site management engineering and QA/QC personne One recent organization change was identified to the inspectors during this inspection J. L. Wilson is now the station manager (formerly held by W. L. Stewart).
Testing of the Unit 2 steam generator repair is complete Preparation for Unit 1 steam generator repair was observe The site warehouse and steam generator lay down areas were identified to M McFarlan M McFarland was briefed on the health physics requirement for Surry power station and familiarized with the dress out procedur Steam Generator Repair-Review of Quality Records The inspector reviewed the Engineering Task Assignment (ETA) closeout status log for the unit 2 steam generator repairs with the VEPCO records management (RM) supervisor and discussed the need for engineering review and QA approval signoff with the RM supervisor, the project quality control (QC) supervisor and, subsequently, the project manage The project manager plans to expedite the signoffs for engineering review and QA approval for the unit 2 steam generator repairs in the immediate futur This is identified as inspector follow up item 281/80-10-01, Validation of Engineering Task Assignments, Unit 2 Steam Generator Repairs.
