Results Of the six areas inspected,.to apparent items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on October 26, 1979 with those persons indicated in Paragraph I above.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Unresolved Item (50-269/78-02-01, 50-270/78-02-01, 50-287/78-02-01)

Station Wastewater Discharge pH Alarm Procedure.

Inspection disclosed that section 2.2 of licenree procedure CP/0/B/200/18 adequately addressed a required monthly operational check of the Control Room hi/lo pH alarm.

Unresolved Items Unresolved items were not identified during this inspection.

Annual Nonradiological Environmental Report Review of routine reporting requirements for the period ending December 31, 1978, concerning the Generil Aquatic Surveillance Program and Special Studies disclosed that such requirements were satisfied in accordance with Amendments 69, 69 and 66 to Operating Licenses for Units 1, 2, and 3 respec-tively. There were no questions regarding this item.

Nonroutine Reports The inspector reviewed Licensee Event Reports for the period February 1978 through October 26, 1979. No LER's addressing nonradiological environmental protection were submitted by the licensee during tie subject period. The abnormal occurf ence of February 3,1979, regarding violation of the waste-water discharge pH limit atttending use of the mobile solidification unit was reported to NRC as required by Appendix B Technical Specification 1.2.

The report and recommended corrective actions were discussed with liceasee representatives. Corrective actions discussed will be verified during a subsequent inspection.

Station Chemical Releases Appendix B, Technical Specification 1.2 and its respective procedures assign monitoring requirements and wastewater discharge limits for pH, hydrazine, and boron.

Inspection included review and audit of rtation records for pH and hydrazine during the period February 1978 through October 26, 1979.

Inspection disclosed no apparent releases in excess of the required limits exclusive of the pH incident reported by the licensee as discussed in paragraph 6, supra.

Boron releases will be reviewed during a subsequent inspection.
