Thank you for your letter dated May 8,1981, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance which we brought to your attention in Inspection Reports No. 50-266/81-08andNo.50-301/81-07 forwarded by our letter dated April 14, 1981.
The proposed corrective actions address our primary concern, namely that for calibrations which are out of tolerance, a more detailed written evaluation and justification should be made by the I&C Engineer.
As indicated in the inspection report and by the severity level of the violation, we considered this to be a documentation problem and not a challenge of the operability and accuracy of the instruments involved.
We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions during a subsequent inspection.
