SAFETY EVALUATION OF INSPECTION OPEN ITEM REGARDING HVAC DUCTllORKS AND SUPPORTS FOR BROMNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, Ul'lIT 2 (TAC NO. 62259)
The NRC staff has completed its review of TVA's responses to Open Item CSG-9 documented in NRC Inspection Report (IR) 50-260/89-42 dated February 26, 1989 regarding HVAC ductwor k and supports.
Enclosed is a safety evaluation report (SER) closing out this open item.
Based on the enclosed SER we came to the conclusion that the new amplified response spectra (ARS) impact evaluation performed by the Tennessee Valley,Authority for Class I ductworks and supports inside the chimney acceptably meets the restart requirements of Unit 2.
