SUMMARY

OF THE MAY 30, 2018 PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2017 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF FERMI POWER PLANT, UNIT 2 On May 30, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (EDT), a public outreach was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2017 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Fermi Power Plant, Unit 2, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Monroe County Board of Commissioners Chambers in Monroe, Michigan. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and a number of state employees. No feedback form was received for this outreach. Representatives from DTE Energy were also present at the event.

The NRC discussed their assessment of Fermi Power Plant, Unit 2s performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 2, 2018, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML18058B735). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter and other brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance. Members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of DTE officials.
