OF THE JUNE 21, 2023, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2022 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF FERMI NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 2 On June 21, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2022 end-of-cycle plant performance assessment of the Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2, and with general information on the NRC. The meeting was held at the Monroe County Board of Commissioners Chambers, Monroe County Courthouse in Monroe, Michigan. The NRC representatives were available to discuss plant performance with members of the public. Representatives from DTE were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2 performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 1, 2023, end-of-cycle assessment letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML23055B132). Members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff and DTE representatives.
