~ J Reason for Change At the present time, paragraph 1. 7 on Sheet 3 of E-OR 8900, Revision 20 allows the use of three types of organic zine coatings for the use of touch-up of damaged galvanized surfaces. Architectural Specification A-125

_and A-130 allows use of CZ-11, manufactured by Carboline Corporation for touch-up of unprimed carbon steel. In order to enhance raceway support turnover, CZ-ll should be approved for touch-up of damaged galvanized surfaces.

Recommended Action, include Sketch, Etc.

Recommend revising E-OR 8900, Paragraph 1.7 to include approval of CZ-11 for touch-up of damaged galvanized surfaces of cable tray, exposed conduit, and support materials. This would allow one-step tou'ch-up of structrual steel and electrical supports and eliminate unneccessary work for craft.
