Dear Sir:
North Carolina S' ale University's PULSTAR Recctor Pacility has completed the construction of a subterraneous vault for the previously buried primary piping and N.16 Delay Tank. This facility upgrade required a modification to the CAA p rimeter and consequently a revision to the Physical Security Plan is required.
The current PULSTAll Physical Security Plan (Revision 6) addressed physical security during the interim comtruction period which was approxima:cly forty (40) wecks.
This revision to the PULSTAR Physical Security Plan (Revision 7) expands the CAA to include the completed vault. The changes discussed in the revised Plan do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the Plan and conforms to a 10 CFR 50.54 (p)(2) class of changt NCSU is submitting this revised Physical Security Plan to Regicn 11 following a discussion with Mr.
Craig Bassett, Senior Radiation Specialist, Division of Radiation Safety and Safeguards, Region II.
