CRGR MEETING NUMBER 36 The ED0 has requested CRGR views concerning short-term actions proposed by NRR to address the Findings of the Salem Generic Implications Task Force. In this regard, NRR has requested expeditious CRGR consideration of the proposed actions an a Category I item in accordance with the CRGR Charter. Therefore, I have scheduled a CRGR meeting for Friday, April 29, 1983, from 3-5 p.m.

in Room 6507 MNBB.

The proposed short-term actions are in Chapters 6 and 7 of the Draft Report titled Generic Implications of ATWS Events at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant (NUREG 1000). The Draft Report was forwarded to you by R. Mattson on April 22, 1983.

Persons making presentations to the CRGR are responsible for (1) assuring that the information required for CRGR review is provided to the Committee (CRGR Charter - IV.B), (2) coordinating and presenting views of other offices, (3) as appropriate, assuring that other offices are represented during the presentation, and (4) assuring that agenda modifications are coordinated with the CRGR contact (Walt Schwink, x24342) and others involved with the presentation. With regard to attendance at CRGR meetings, I re-quest that Office Directors limit attendance of their staffs at CRGR meetings to those few senior staff needed to address the agenda item under 8305040630 830427 PDR REVQP >RGCRGR PDR
