SUBJECT:
EXTENSION OF SALEM SALP The purpose of this memorandum is to provide NRR concurrence to extend the SALP evaluation period for the Salem facility until one year after the restart of the first unit from its current outage.
Your justification (attached) was consistent with the guidance in NRC Management Directive 8.6.
Your letter requested suspension of the Salem SALP. SALP is only suspended for plants that are shut down and require authorization by the Comission (not the staff) to restart.
