COMPARISON OF FIELD MEASURED VOLTAGE DROPS AGAINST CALCULATED VALUES DATE: June 21, 1988 Field testing was performed to measure the voltage drops across the cables feeding the Service Water Intake MCC.

Test results are as follows:

VOLTAGE CURRENT 1A 230V BUS SW INTAKE MCC 1A8Y-A

%A-%B 245V 243V dA 34.2 AMPS dB-$C 246V 243V fB 35.6 AMPS

Voltage drop (phase to neutral) 0.04177 x 34.2=1.4285 Volts Voltage drop (phase to phase) 1.4285 XY3=2.474 Volts Voltage @ MCC (phase to phase) 243 Volts .

Voltage 0 1A Bus  !

l calculated (phase to phase) 245.4 Volts j Voltage @ 1A Bus ,

measured I (phase to phase) 245 Volts It can be seen that the calculated and measured values are very close, which proves that the methodology used in the calculations is correct. It needs to be mentions that the exact case used in the Ebasco calculations could not be tested due to load restrictions on the respective feeder. j i
