Dear Mr. Williams:
I am requesting a copy of the report prepared by your office that dealt with the failure of candor of the NRC staff in answering certain questions cosed by Congress relating to weld safety at the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant. I have been informed that the report is now publicly available in redacted form and I would greatly appreciate receiving a copy.
Your office is to be commended for investigating this matter. It is only the honest appraisal of igency performance that will restore public confide.sce in the NRC.
It is regrettable that the Coramissioners dirj not follow through with appropriate sanctions against those who, whether wittingly or unwittingly, misled the Congress.
In addition to the 4.bove-mentioned report, I would very much appreciate receiving a listing of the titles of any other reports that your office may have prepared on the subj ec t of the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant and that are dated later than September of 1990.
