CALLAWAY PLANT DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 REVISION TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 4.5.2.h EMESGENCY CORE COOLING SYSTEMS Union Electric company herewith transmits an applient.. ion for amendment to Facility Operating License Nu@er WP.-;0 for the callaway Plant. This amendment application requests a revision to Technical Specification 4.5.2.h to change the charging and safety injection pump flows and to revise the requirements for performing a flow balance test on an ECCS subsystem. This amendment application is similar to those approved by NRC for Trojan, Diablo Canyon, and D. C. Cook.

The Callaway Plant On-Site Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved this amendment application. Attachments 1 through 4 provide the Technical Specification changes, Safety Evaluation, Significant Hazards Evaluation, and Environmental Consid-eration respectively. It has been determined that this amendment application does not involve any Unreviewed Safety Questions, as defined in 10CFR50.59, nor a Significant Hazard Consideration as determined per 10CFR50.92.

Approval of this amendment is requested prior to callaway Refuel 5, which is scheduled to start March 20, 1992. If you have any questions on this amendment appli-cation, please contact us.
