CALLAWAY PLANT DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 EXEMPTION TO 10CFR50,' APPENDIX J AND REVISION TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 4.6.1.2.a-CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS Union Electric Company herewith transmits a request for exemption to 10 CFR 50, Appendix J and an application for amendment to Facility Operating License Number NPF-30. This exemption request and related ,

amendment application would defer the next scheduled containment integrated leak rate test for one outage, from Refuel 7 to Refuel 8.

The Callaway Plant On-Site Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved the exemption and amendment requests.

Attachments 1 through 5 provide the Technical Specification changes, Safety Evaluation, Significant Hazards Evaluation, and Environmental Consideration,  !

respectively. We have concluded that this exemption request and related amendment application do not involve an unreviewed safety question as defined in 10CFR50.59, nor a significant hazard consideration as determined per 10CFR50.92.
