LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 07B-4 Rockville, Maryland 20852 PURPOSE: On April 13, 2011, a Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.206 petition was submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requesting that the NRC take enforcement-related action against GE Mark 1 BWRs by suspending their operating licenses due to flawed primary containment and unreliable back-up electric systems for spent fuel pool cooling (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML11104A058). The purpose of this meeting is to provide the petitioner with an opportunity to address the NRC Petition Review Board (PRB) in accordance with 10 CFR 2.206.

CATEGORY 3:

  • This is a Category 3 meeting, where the public is normally invited to participate in the meeting by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meeting. In this instance, the public will have an opportunity to ask questions pertaining to the 10 CFR 2.206 processes, after the petitioner completes his uninterrupted presentation to the PRB.
