OF JANUARY 17, 2024, TELEPHONE CALL WITH CENTRUS-AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE OPERATING, LLC REGARDING DRAFT RAI FOR PHYSICAL SECURITY FOR PHASE II+ APPLICATION On January 17, 2024, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff participated in a telephone conference call with staff from American Centrifuge Operating (ACO), a subsidiary of Centrus Energy Corp., to discuss and clarify a draft request for additional information (RAI) for ACOs license amendment request involving changes to its physical security plans in their high-assay low-enriched uranium programs Phase II+ application. The summary of the telephone conference call is enclosed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this memorandum will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
