SUMMARY
OF OCTOBER 12, 2023, MEETING WITH FRAMATOME, INC.
On October 12, 2023, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a hybrid meeting with Framatome, Inc. (Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Framatomes response to the NRC staffs Requests for Additional Information for the license amendment request submittal (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML23291A203. The license amendment proposes an update to the Framatome methodology for determining minimum margin of subcriticality to include enrichments up to 20 weight percent U-235 in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 70.61(d). This methodology is for analytical purposes only and will support a potential subsequent e amendment request to change their enrichment level.
The meeting was closed to the public for a discussion of proprietary information.
