Dear Mr. Miller:

Clinton Power Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-461 With reference to CPS SER Confirmatory Issue #8, "NSSS Pipe Break Analysis Using SRP Criteria (3.6.2)",

General Electric Company has reanalyzed the piping in question using the 2.4Sm criteria as specified in the SRP. The analyses revealed that there were no more breaks using the 2.4Sm than there had been using 3.0Sm.

Therefore, we consider this matter closed for licensing purposes. t Sincerely,
