same subject.

Per the referenced telephone conversation between R. T. Johnson, WNP-2 Project QA Manager and Mr. John Elin of your office, the Supply System requested and was granted an extension of the reporting date for 10CFR50.55(e) Reportable Condition #73.

The reason for the extension request is that the microcoring testing program currently being conducted consists of several lengthy steps and the coring of the specimens is required before any evaluation can be made. At this time, it is anticipated that the pouring and curing proc 3ss will be completed December 18, 1981. Additionally, it is anticipated that testing (which follows pouring and curing) will be completed by January 15, 1982. The Architect Engineer has indicated that final evaluation of test data and preparation of a response will require two weeks.

For these reasons, a Final Report will be submitted to the NRC by February 5, 1982.

Should you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact R. T. Johnson, (509) 377-2501, extension 2712.

Very truly yours,

. 8
