Clinton Power Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-461 This letter is in response to the verbal request on December 3 of Mr. Harvey Abelson and confirms the informa-tion provided regarding the status of the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) for the Clinton Power Station.

Primary EOF Location: in the CPS Construction Office Bui ding approx. 1000 feet east of the main control room.

Structure: rigid frame type with metal siding Protection Factor: >5 (actual calculated -6.5)

Construction Start: Existing building HEPA Filters: Yes; HEPA filters are to be provided Backup EOF Location: IP Electric and Gas Dispatch Center, Decatur, IL., approx. 21.7 miles from main control room Structure: Concrete and brick building with a basement and first floor goo r 8212070229 821203 PDRADOCK05000g F
