_g g Director Office of Administration U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission h 'd [-g -47 Washington DC 20555 Dear Director Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.c. 552, I am requesting access to a Freedom of Information request filed by John Vail, Legal Services of Upper East Tennessee, Inc., of Johnson City, Tenn., requesting information regarding plutonium unaccounted for by Nuclear Fuel Services of Ervin, Tex.

Mr. Vail filed the request during 1981, and the commission granted the request on Dec. 24, 1981.

Please supply the record without informing me of copying or search fees if the fees do not exceed $10.

As you know, the Act permits you to reduce or waive the fees when the release of the information is considered as "primarily benefitting the general public." I believe that this request fits that category, and I therefore ask that you waive any fees.
