Report No. 70-143/81-09 This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. A. Tillman of this - office on May 18-22, 1981, of activities authorized by NRC License No.
SNM-124 at Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc., Erwin, Tennessee factitty and to the discussions of our findings held with Mr. W. Manser,.Jr., General Manager at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included your program for-safeguarding special nuclear material under the applicable provisions of Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 73, " Physical Protection of Plants and Materials", and the specific requirements of license conditions and your approved Security Plan.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of pro-cedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, performance tests, and observations by the inspector.
.e Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were disclosed.
One new unresolved item resulted frors this inspection and is discussed in the enclosed report. This item will be examined during subsequent inspections.
