Reference 2 stated we would submit a final report by May 1,1981. As we are unable to provide that final report, the following is a status of actions taken. We have combined the malpractice and structural steel inspection docu-mentation problems into one for evaluation as 10CFR50.55(e). All of the corrective actions required by the Contractors Corrective Action Request have not been completed. These actions are anticipated to be complete by June 15, 1981. O V 0 d 810617oa y es -ss.

Upon completion of the actions required for Unit 3, all applicable NCR's will be submitted to Ebasco for evaluation for significance. Our current estimate for completing the required engineering analysis and evaluation of the sub-ject condition is 60 days. We expect to submit our final report on this matter to your office no later than August 15, 1981 Very truly yours, I
