RE: NRC Request for Meeting with VDH Bill, Good to hear from you. We will publish the draft SEIS by December 15. We are in the final stages of review of the document now. It may already be too late to include any information we get from the epidemiologists in the DSEIS. However, we will certainly consider the information before the final SEIS in August 2007. We will conduct public meetings on Jan. 31, 2007, in Brattleboro, to discuss the DSEIS.Based on our earlier discussions with you and the epidemiologists, I do not expect the information to show increases in cancer around Vermont Yankee. If the data and analyses from the epidemiologists does show any significant findings, the NRC wants to know right away. The Department of Homeland Security is coming in next week, too, and I am getting invited to activities down in Vernon on the 8th, 9th and 10th.
