Endangered Species Protection Program Databases List of Species Endangered Species Protection Program Pesticide Use Limitations (by Databases County)

Court Ordered The databases available here are the endangered species by county database Limitations (ES_COUNT.DBF) and the species information database (SPECIES.DBF). They ESPP Database are contained in a self-extracting compressed file named "county99.exe." Once you have downloaded the file to a directory on your computer, you can extract all For Kids: the files in the archive by simply typing the name of the file at the DOS prompt.

Structure of the databases:

Structure of the ES_COUNT.DBF file:

Field Description STATE 2-letter state abbreviation NSTATE Full state name COUNTY County name FIPS2 FIPS code for the county and state (5-digit)

KNOWN Whether the species is known to occur in the county INVNAME Common name - inverse listing Clarification of the KNOWN field. F in KNOWN field means that XGROUP existence of the species is possible.

ACTION Type of listing action (Listing, Proposed, Delisting)

DATE Date this file was released GROUP Taxonomic group Structure of the SPECIES.DBF file:

STATUS Indicates species status (see below.)
