TheFloridaDepartment ofNaturalResources (DNR)sentoneoftheirpersonnel toobservetheanimalbetween2-3:00P.M.andalsoconcluded thattheanimalwasinnoimmediate danger.Discussion onacaptureattemptwaspostponed toTuesday,September 3.Theanimalwassuccessfully removedfromthecanalbyFloridaDNRpersonnel at4:45P.M.Tuesday.TheanimalwassafelyuamporedtoLomyParkZoolocatedinTampa,Floridaforobservation andtreatment ofapreviously incurredboatpropeller
