SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF REQUESTED LICENSING ACTION RE: LICENSE AMENDMENT TO CHANGE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.7.5, "ULTIMATE HEAT SINK," SUBMITTED TO THE NRC FOR ACCEPTANCE REVIEW (CAC NOS. MF2852 AND MF2853)

Dear Mr. Shea:

By letter dated October 2, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13280A267), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted a license amendment request for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN), Units 1 and 2. The proposed amendment would have modified SQN's Technical Specification 3.7.5, "Ultimate Heat Sink," to place additional limitations on the maximum average essential raw cooling water (ERCW) system supply header water temperature during operation with one ERCW pump per loop and operation with one ERCW supply strainer per loop. Subsequently, by letter dated October 22, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15295A427), TVA withdrew this license amendment request.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
