Thetworemaining samplescollected duringtheapplication bothyieldedvaluesof(0.3ppm.The0.53ppmconcentration notedinthedischarge canalwaswellbelowtheNoEffectLevelof1.2ppmwhichwasestablished forthisbiocide.Thisfact,plusthedilutionwhichoccursfollowing discharge fromtheY-portandmulti-port diffusers upondischarge totheAtlanticOcean,indicatethatthiseventshouldnothavecausedanysignificant environmental damage.Corrective actionsincludeincreased communications betweentheindividuals involvedinthebiocideinjection station,theclayinjection station,andthechemistry department.
Ifanomalies occurinanyarea,biocideinjection willbeimmediately terminated untilthecondition iscorrected.
