I support the recommendations of Citizens Oversight that a seco nd level of containment be required, one that could be repaired, should cracking occur. For the sake of the millions of people living within the dang er zone of San Onofre, please implement the recommendations of Citizens Oversight! Page 1 of 106/05/2018https://www.fdms.gov/

NRC-2018-0017-DRAFT-0043 Comment on FR Doc # 2018-05776 Submitter Information Name: Susan and David Dearing Address: 3197 Via Buena Vista Unit C Laguna Woods, 92637 Email: sdearing@comline.com General Comment The canisters currently being used to store th e nuclear waste at San Onofre are only single shell and may fail and potentially threaten the safety of everyone in the area. As I live in the area, I am very concerned! Th ese casks are only guaranteed for twenty years--and nuclear waste remains dangerous much longer than that.
