3500 Bahia Blanca W, unit 3G Laguna Woods, CA, 92637 Email: ispirn@yahoo.com General Comment I am a retired physicist residing in Laguna Woods. I am very concerned about the adequacy of the nuclear waste containers currently being employed for the closed San Onofre reactor facility. The 5/8 inch thick steel would appear to offer long term problems for what is now, and will likely remain, a heavily populated area. If, and when, such containment reveals its inadequacy there will be little options available to prevent major environmental contamination.
Please reconsider current plans so that we can be certain that we have not left our children and grandchildren an irremediable problem.
