24561 La Hermosa Laguna Niguel, CA, 92677 Email: online-activist@alumni.stanford.edu General Comment I live not far from San Onofre and am very concerned about the canisters currently being used to store the nuclear waste at San Onofre. They are only single shell and may fail and potentially threaten the safety of everyone in the area. These casks are only guaranteed for twenty years--and nuclear waste remains dangerous much longer than that.
I support the recommendations of Citizens Oversight that a second level of containment be required, one that could be repaired, should cracking occur. For the sake of the millions of people living within the danger zone of San Onofre, please implement the recommendations of Citizens Oversight!
