SUMMARY OF PUBLIC MEETING On June 8, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:10 p.m., the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a public meeting at the Doubletree by Hilton in Tarrytown, New York, to discuss its assessment of the safety performance at Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for calendar year 2015. The NRC discussed its assessment of the safety performance of Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for the period of January 1 through December 31, 2015. The NRC presented slides on two topics of public interest, which included the identification of degraded baffle-former bolts at Unit 2 and the plans for installation of a new natural gas pipeline that will cross a portion of the Indian Point plant property. Following the presentations, the NRC held a question and answer session, during which interested stakeholders were able to ask questions or make statements in a public forum.
